Irish Foodie Towns Finalist 2015

Irish Foodie Towns Finalist 2015

Irish cuisine has come a long way from the plain food label of the 80’s. Tourists now are in awe at our excellent local Irish produce, local sourced meats and excellent chefs. Even an Irish pub meal is no longer just a pub meal. It’s an experience in itself. Ireland has some great dining experiences and Emerald Irish Tours want to share these hidden gems through the Foodie Town of Ireland event.

The “Foodie Town of Ireland” awards are given to Irish towns that actively promote through food festivals, food trails, dining experiences and local activities. 2015 finalists are: Loop Head, County Clare on the Wild Atlantic Way, The Burren, County Clare on the Wild Atlantic Way, Kinsale, County Cork on the Wild Atlantic Way, West Cork, Dungarven, Kilkenny, Howth, Boyne Valley, Derry, Sligo. What a great array of Irish food destinations! Your custom food tour will begin on the west coast of Ireland along the Wild Atlantic Way taking in great restaurants and then head to Kinsale and onward to Dublin and finally to Derry. Not only will you have great food trail experiences, but also sightseeing and historical too! Each tour is catered to the group.

Emerald Irish Tours have been invited by the Restaurant Association of Ireland who run the Foodie Town of Ireland Awards to Fallon and Byrne to check out the 2015 winner of the Foodie Town of Ireland. Best of luck to all the entries!
