Born in Doonbeg, County Clare, Ireland, Martina, after many years living overseas, is now settled in Kilkee, County Clare with her family. Martina spent many years in the US states of California, Colorado and Rhode Island, working in the high tech start-up industry.
After her stint in America, Martina and her sister Carmel decided to combine her business experience and travel knowledge to embark on a new enterprising venture “Emerald Irish Tours” to encompass Irish culture, scenery, folklore and local experiences into a brilliant travel experience.
Being a world traveler with a degree in Business Administration, Martina thinks that Ireland has some of the most interesting coastlines and historical sites in the world that the discerning traveler to Ireland will thoroughly enjoy.
Carmel Haugh, Co-founder and Driver Guide with Emerald Irish Tours who is originally from Ireland has always been passionate about tourism and travel in Ireland.
Carmel has travelled to many global destinations, such as Asia, Europe, The Americas, Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific Islands to name a few. She took time out to study and observe the lifestyle and travel habits of our global culture.
Upon returning from her travels, Carmel went on to pursue a career in the travel industry. Relying the skills from her 2003 Bachelor of Science in Business Degree from Emmanuel College, Boston, Carmel and her sister Martina decided to open their own travel business.
She has great people, listening and communication skills. She is enthusiastic and is dedicated to ensuring a really excellent travel experience for all who visit the Emerald Isle.
Carmel currently resides in the peaceful setting of West Clare, living by the sea at Doonaha Fort, and also works on the on-going project of restoring an 18th century Napoleonic Defence Fortress on the West Coast of Ireland.

Emerald Irish Tours would like to give a big welcome to Liam Bourke our new team member driver guide to the team! We could not be more pleased.
Liam knows the Island of Ireland like no-one else. Whether it is touring the castles or finding hidden gems (and he know lots of them!) or Ireland’s equestrian scene Liam is your man.
One of Liam’s favourite expressions is “A quiet priest never got a parish!” Need we say more. A big welcome!

A native of Dublin with roots in Co. Clare, David has spent many years traveling all around Ireland. There are not too many roads David has not traveled.
David holds a Failte Ireland Regional Tour Guide Badge. While living in the countryside David does the things he likes best: playing the occasional music gigs, training and walking the dogs and spending time with his family.
David loves hearing and telling stories of the past and he welcomes diversity in all shapes and forms. He especially loves to take visitors to the places they have never been or have never even heard of. Favourite place, as close to coast as possible and renovating his 19th century farmhouse!
Gerry is one of Ireland's dearest treasures. His wit, humour and personality is like no other. Gerry is a grass roots down to earth Irish gentleman with a great love for his country and for touring. Enjoy his company and his excellent guiding skills and expect many fun stories while you tour in Ireland together
