Day 1: Dublin to Westport

  • Depart from Dublin Airport or your Dublin accommodation.
  • Travel west through Ireland’s scenic Midlands, with a stop in Athlone, a historic town on the River Shannon.
  • Visit Sean’s Bar in Athlone,reputed to be one of Ireland’s oldest pubs, and enjoy a traditional Irish atmosphere.
  • Enjoy lunch and time to explore Athlone’s riverside streets, local shops, and historic landmarks.
  • Continue onward to the charming heritage town of Westport.
